An Olympian Journey ahead and when does fine, mean fine?
My sister Rose is the crazy one now........she is the CFL's most engaged fan. Knows all the teams, all the players, all the coaches, all the game plans, all the stadiums, you name it, she's into it.
If you've gotten this far and are thinking, "DK, kind of a bummer this edition", you should know that it was not just Remembrance Day that got me thinking about all this.......
As a radio programmer, I go through periods of confidence and insecurity. This week, I had lots of the former and a bit of the latter.
The realization and change for me began in the mid 2000's when I discovered quite by accident that my blood pressure was dangerously high. Like 220/120 high.
We basically woke up early everyday, had coffee on the dock, ate breakfast, walked in Delta, or went into Westport, back to the dock for a fruity rum punch @noon, kayaked, jumped into the lake, listened to playlists on Spotify, had lunch, napped, played cards, had dinner and went to sleep.

Dawn was at this one party with some friends and I thought she was very pretty.......I mean very pretty!!! (permed hair, 80's designer jeans and all) so, Mr. confidence goes over to chat her up. He was polite and not shy, but did not really expand on any answers to questions I was asking him. "Firstly, I should ask you, do you mind me asking you some questions"? He said "absolutely not, ask away."
Canada made a mistake. Not our first, not our last. The only thing worse than making a mistake though is not to correct it.
